Sausage Stuffing (Dressing)

Ingredients
1 Lb Italian sausage (half sweet/half hot)
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 sleeve of soda crackers (about 2 cups of coarsley crumbled by hand)
1 egg
1/2 cup water

Step 1 - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step 2 - Saute sausage and onion over medium heat just until sausage starts to brown lightly (it will continue to cook in the oven so no need to cook through at this stage).
Step 3 - Place sausage/onion mixture in a large bowl. Add crushed soda crackers and work with your fingers. Beat egg with 1/2 cup of water and sprinkle over sausage mixture. Add salt and pepper.
Step 4 - Transfer to a quart baking dish.
Step 5 - Bake 30 - 40 minutes.
